After being sacked by Quinn twice in the win, Rodgers praised the Bears passing veteran, despite Quinn poking fun at his TD “belt” celebration.

“It was pretty one-sided with that”, Rodgers said on players who laugh at his belt shtick. “But I love Robert Quinn, I love to compete with him. He’s had a phenomenal season. He’s got 13 and a half bags or something. It’s a Pro Bowl caliber season.

Rodgers gives Bears Rookie QB compliments and advice

Ex-teammate (and former Ohio State) AJ Hawk asked the reigning MVP about his thoughts on Fields after playing against him twice this season, and Rodgers was full of praise.

“I think he’s a really talented kid, with a good arm on him. He can really move around and prolong the games. He just has to work on the little things and keep improving, ”Rodgers said of Fields, adding,“ He has a lot of star qualities with his presence and his ability. “

Fields scored 18 of 33 for 224 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, while rushing for 74 more yards on nine carries in the Bears’ Week 14 loss to Green Bay, and future Hall of Famer QB. gave a few words of wisdom for Fields and other young QBs when it comes to improving their respective games.

“The most important thing for young players is to keep working on the little things, the little details,” said Rodgers.

“Even as an older player, every year you go back to watch the movie from the previous year and try to work on one specific thing during training camp. I think that’s too much to ask: “I have to work on six different things to get better. Take a thing or two that you really want to work on in the offseason. It could be handling the ball, it could be footwork in the pocket, just little things to improve. And if you start stacking up years and years of trying to work on one, or maybe even two, specific things, you can truly become a star.

Fields says he’s inspired by Rodgers

For his part, the Bears rookie caller revealed what Rodgers told him following his team’s loss in Week 14, while also giving him big compliments for the Packers QB.

“We talked a bit. I just told him it was a good game. Fields said December 12. “He inspires me. He’s a great quarterback. He plays with so much rhythm. He’s one of the greatest to ever do that.

The Bears have lost seven of their last eight games, but the young quarterback isn’t going to stop trying to learn and improve, which is encouraging.

“I think that’s one of the hardest things when you lose – there are so many people saying this and that, but you just have to look at the positives and build on that, and just know that it doesn’t. not going to change overnight, “Fields added.” Just keep building. It’s going to be tough, but you just have to find the positive. “
