East Hampton Residents to Vote on Sports Field Modernization

Money for the project will come from two sources: a special fund that was established to pay for the track renovation and the money left over from the high school renovation project that was completed in 2017.

In total, the city received a total of 14 proposals, which were reviewed by a committee consisting of Director of Parks and Recreation Jeremy Hall, High School Sports Director Shaun Russell, Facilities Director Donald A. Harwood, Cox, and a town councilor.

On Tuesday, city council agreed to retain the committee-recommended company, Cheshire-based Milone & MacBroom, to serve as a design consultant to work with the city.

The consultant will be paid $ 70,000 to “develop plans, implement tenders and help oversee construction,” Cox said.

The city “will bid on most, if not all, of the construction,” Cox added.
