Leander reopens city facilities including library, sports fields, swimming pool

Leander will begin reopening public facilities previously closed due to the coronavirus pandemic from Saturday with the pool and wading pool at Robin Bledsoe Park.

The halls of the city’s buildings will reopen on Monday, including the city hall’s utilities department, according to a press release from the city. The sports fields at Benbrook Ranch Park and Robin Bledsoe Park will also reopen Monday for organized games.

The Leander Public Library will reopen with modified hours on Tuesday. The modified hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. The library will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.

City facilities will follow measures to prevent exposure to the coronavirus, including reducing occupancy limits, using contactless transaction options, following social distancing guides and cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, according to the press release.

Benbrook Ranch Park baseball fields (organized play only)

Development services

Municipal court

Fire department

Léandre Public Library

Police department

Robin Bledsoe Park Athletics Grounds (organized play only)

Robin Bledsoe Park swimming pool and paddling pool

Public services at town hall
