The Hampden Township Board of Commissioners recently approved contracts to improve Creekview North Park basketball court and Hampden Park tennis courts.
This took place at a meeting on June 2.
“The Township of Hampden continues to maintain and improve our park offerings,” said Commissioner John Gaspich. “Today’s action will ensure that our basketball and tennis courts continue to be of the highest quality for our residents.”
In addition, the council has declared several vehicles, golf carts, a bicycle and other equipment as surplus property for sale at the annual Capital Region Government Council auction, scheduled for 9 a.m. July 20.
This auction will take place at South Middleton Leaman Park, 520 Park Drive, Boiling Springs.
“The Capital Region COG Auction has proven to be an excellent method of selling surplus township properties,” said Commissioner Nate Silcox. “By working with other municipalities to sell equipment together, it allows us to have more buyers buying at better prices for the township.
Finally, the council approved a contract with DE Gemill for line tracing and marking of signalized intersections on the carriageway.
