PARK RAPIDS — The Park Rapids women’s tennis team stormed into the new courts at the Century School by hosting an eight-team invite on Saturday, August 20.

Singles No. 1, Singles No. 2, Doubles No. 1 and Doubles No. 2 were played on the new courts while Singles No. 3, Singles No. 4 and Doubles No. 3 were played on the new courts. been played on the depot courts.

Shailyn Hayes was the only Park Rapids player to win a first-round game. Hayes ended up placing fourth to second in singles. Morgan Koppelman won the consolation title at No. 1 in singles while Ella Ehlers finished seventh at No. 3 in singles and Lauren Cunningham placed eighth at No. 4 in singles in their college debut.

Mickey Clark and Macy Goochey won the No. 1 doubles consolation title while Emmy Goochey and Abby Runyan finished sixth in No. 2 doubles. Kate Dravis and Rachel Ulvin finished eighth at No. 3 in doubles during their university debut.
